VIDEO: “Use whatever you want to give to me to pay salaries” – Clergyman tells Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state after he made N25million donation to his church

The governor of Cross River state, Ben Ayade, offered to donate N25 million to a clergyman’s church, but he declined the offer.

On Sunday, the cleric described as the Bishop of the Uyo Diocese encouraged the governor to use the donation to pay the salaries of the state employees rather than rejecting it.

The governor, who was a special guest at the Thanksgiving mass on Sunday at St. Patrick’s Catholic in Ikot Ansa, Calabar, declared the donation he made on behalf of the state’s residents, the state government, his family, and the Chief Justice of Nigeria in a video that made its way online.

The Bishop then grabbed the microphone and urged the Governor to utilize whatever he wanted to gift him in order to pay salaries as the anchor of the church program prayed for God to “speak” to every member.

“I want to talk. The governor is my brother, we are both from Cross River North. I want to appreciate the governor and tell him to package whatever he has for me, add to it and use it to pay the salaries of the workers”. He said.
