Super Eagles of Nigeria defeat Cape Verde 2-1 in 2022 World Cup qualifier

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are now top of Group C of the World Cup qualifiers as they contended with Cape Verde.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria battled hard to record a 2-1 away win over Cape Verde in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

In a scrappy first half, the Super Eagles were caught cold with a throw ball before Dylan Tavares fired past Nigerian goalkeeper.

Though the match seemed abit heated for the Super Eagles players,  they were able to scale through a win against Cape Verde.

The Super Eagles are now top of Group C with six points above Liberia who have three points.

Cape Verde and Central Africa Republic have a point each.
