Enraged parents scream at school board for allowing trans athlete in girls’ sports: ‘Teach them self control!’

0

A school board meeting descended into a parade of competing hysterical rants between concerned parents and transgender activists on Thursday night amid a national controversy over a transgender athlete on the cross-country team.

The Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) held a board meeting at its office in Riverside, California, to address concerns over the student-athletes at Martin Luther King High School and students being punished for wearing shirts that read “Save Girls’ Sports.”

The meeting came after weeks of build-up as hundreds of students at Martin Luther King High School and other schools in the district wore the T-shirts against the school’s wishes. Hundreds of students have rallied to wear the T-shirts every Wednesday, and many were placed in detention for wearing them, until the schools gave up on disciplining the students the week of Dec. 11.

Ahead of the meeting, competing protests between pro-transgender activists and “Save Girls’ Sports” activists rallied outside the RUSD District Office.

Once the meeting began, speakers were invited to share their thoughts on the situation. Many of the parents who spoke out against the district for allowing the trans athlete to compete with girls came wearing the T-shirts themselves.

One of the first parents to speak out against the district for allowing trans inclusion was a mother identified only as Sandy R. The mother hysterically complained about her name being revealed to the pro-trans activists outside the assembly room. She feared being “doxxed” for her stances and said she intends to file a harassment complaint.

Sandy then lambasted the entire board for defying Title IX in favor of California State law.

Another parent pointed out that the school district’s science curriculum even includes text books that teach the genetic differences between biological males and females. The mother brought out the school’s ninth-grade biology textbook and read a passage that explained that males are born with the XY chromosomes while females are born with XX chromosomes.

She then held up photos of the students who were punished for wearing shirts that read “XX (does not equal) XY.”

“This is what you did to students who wore the shirt I’m wearing tonight, for claiming a biological fact that’s in your textbook, that’s part of your curriculum. Are we going to put tape on the textbooks next? Is that what’s going to happen, we’re not going to teach science?” she yelled. “You are denying biological facts to not hurt someone’s feelings, and that’s not okay!”

The mother then referenced an allegation in a recent lawsuit filed by two of the school’s girls’ cross-country runners that the school compared their T-shirts to swastikas.

Another mother, who was only identified as Colleen, was already screaming before she approached the podium, criticizing the board for allowing pro-trans activists in the office to cheer for pro-trans sentiment, and she compared it to their handling of young males who want to transition to female sports for a competitive advantage.

“Your job is to teach these people self-control, and you’re not doing that!” she yelled. “It’s all about their self-esteem, and you’re setting them up for failure! They’re not going to have the world handed to them. The world’s not going to adjust because ‘I can’t succeed in this sport, so now I’m going to join this sport because I can do better there. It’s ridiculous! Do your job! Teach these children self-control before it’s too late!”

Later, a mother named Maria Karillo began her speech by warning all children in the room to leave. She then recited sexually explicit lines from school-approved books available at RUSD middle schools to make a point, before lambasting the school for labeling the concerned parents as “agitators, MAGA disruptors.”

“We are parents here who care for our children, and we are using our constitutional right to speak to you guys, the leaders of our community about our children’s issues,” she said. “I want to know why the teacher’s union is sending us emails for calling us cruel.”

One mother named Patty Clauda, who spoke in Spanish with the assistance of an English translator, began her tirade by mocking the school board for not knowing the difference between a man and a woman before expressing fear of girls having to share locker rooms with biological males.

“They are changing in front of men!” she said through the translator.

FATHER OF FEMALE RUNNER FORCED TO COMPETE WITH TRANS ATHLETE SHARES FURY OF SITUATION: ‘CAN’T EVEN DIGEST IT’

Students at Martin Luther King High School

At the end of her tirade, Clauda abandoned use of her translator to speak in English directly to the board, screaming at the top of her lungs.

“What I actually find more concerning is that there are actual biological women standing in front of me, and you are not advocating for the young ladies in this school district, and you are allowing these young ladies to be mistreated, harassed and discriminated! You are creating a hostile environment for these children to get their education! Shame on all of you!” Clauda screamed.

Multiple concerned parents called for the resignation of Superintendent Renee Hill during their respective speeches.

At one point, a female student-athlete even got the chance to speak and became emotional as she expressed the fact that she, as a biological female, has no realistic chance to compete with biological males.

“In no universe will the most-dedicated woman beat the most-dedicated man,” she said as she choked up.

However, pro-transgender activists were also given the opportunity to speak. Multiple speakers who expressed support for trans inclusion thanked the board for allowing the trans athlete to compete with girls and encouraged it to continue to enable and protect that athlete.

One trans activist event went so far as to make the false claim that the XY chromosome is disappearing from the human gene pool and that all humans will eventually be born with the XX chromosome.

Many of the pro-trans speeches were met with high-pitched cheers and the waiving of LGBTQ pride flags by those in attendance.

California has had laws in effect to protect transgender athletes in women’s sports since 2014. That year, AB 1266 took effect, giving California students at scholastic and collegiate levels the right to “participate in sex-segregated school programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions, and use facilities consistent with his or her gender identity, irrespective of the gender listed on the pupil’s records.”

In a statement previously provided to Fox News Digital, RUSD said it has allowed the transgender athlete to compete on the team because it must comply with California state law.

“It is important to remember that RUSD is bound to follow California law which requires that students be ‘permitted to participate in sex-segregated school programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions consistent with his or her gender identity, irrespective of the gender listed on the pupil’s records,'” the statement said.

The school said those who are upset by it should direct their anger to state and federal lawmakers.

“As these matters play out in our courts and the media, opposition and protests should be directed at those in a position to affect those laws and policies, including officials in Washington, D.C., and Sacramento,” the statement said.

SJSU responds to volleyball player mass exodus after trans athlete scandal rocked program

0

San Jose State University has acknowledged a recent mass exodus of volleyball players who entered the transfer portal after a controversy-riddled season involving a trans athlete on the team.

The university provided a statement to Fox News Digital in which it expressed “respect” for the recent wave of players who have opted to transfer. “Student athletes have the ability to make decisions about their college athletic careers, and we have the utmost respect for that,” the statement read.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported that seven of the team’s players have entered the transfer portal.

The seven players who are transferring will be leaving the team after a season that included eight forfeited matches, regular police protection, national scrutiny and internal turmoil between players and coaches. One player even received threats of physical harm amid the controversy.

Head coach Todd Kress even spoke about how the 2024 season was one of the “most difficult” of his life after the team’s loss in the conference final to Colorado State, in a statement provided to Fox News Digital.

“This has been one of the most difficult seasons I’ve ever experienced, and I know this is true as well for many of our players and the staff who have been supporting us all along. Maintaining our focus on the court and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of my players amid the external noise have been my priorities,” Kress said.

The transgender player, Blaire Fleming, is out of eligibility after completing a fourth collegiate season in 2024. The team’s season ended in the Mountain West Conference championship game after it advanced to the title game by virtue of a forfeit from Boise State in the semifinal round. Boise State previously forfeited two regular season games to San Jose State amid the controversy involving Fleming, accounting for three of its seven conference wins via forfeit this year.

A loss to Colorado State in the conference final ended the season and prevented the controversy from slipping into the NCAA tournament. The loss effectively ended Fleming’s collegiate career.

In September, co-captain Brooke Slusser joined a lawsuit against the NCAA alleging the program withheld knowledge about Fleming’s birth gender from her and other players on the team. Slusser alleged she was made to share changing and sleeping spaces with Fleming without knowing that Fleming was a biological male.

Slusser, along with several other players in the Mountain West, filed a separate lawsuit against the conference and San Jose State in November over Fleming’s presence. That lawsuit included testimony from former San Jose State volleyball players Alyssa Sugai and Elle Patterson alleging they were passed over for scholarships in favor of Fleming.

That lawsuit also alleges that San Jose State players spoke up about an alleged scheme by Fleming to have Slusser spiked in the face with a volleyball in a game against Colorado State on Oct. 3. Slusser was not spiked in the face in that game, and an investigation by the Mountain West concluded without finding sufficient evidence of the alleged plot.

SJSU TRANSGENDER VOLLEYBALL SCANDAL: TIMELINE OF ALLEGATIONS, POLITICAL IMPACT AND A RAGING CULTURE MOVEMENT

Assistant coach Melissa Batie-Smoose was suspended by the program in early November after she filed a Title IX complaint against the university for showing favoritism toward Fleming over the other players, especially Slusser. Batie-Smoose’s complaint also included allegations of Fleming’s plot to have Slusser spiked in the face.

Slusser previously told Fox News Digital that Batie-Smoose’s dismissal severely impacted the morale of the team.

“After we found out that she was released, a lot of the team just kind of broke down and was kind of freaking out, and even one of my teammates was like, ‘I don’t feel safe anymore,’ because there’s no one now that we feel like we can go and talk to about our concerns or our actual feelings and can actually speak freely in front of,” Slusser said.

Slusser added that she and other players lost trust in the coaches, including head coach Kress.

“You can’t truly voice how you’re feeling without them just trying to cover it up or act like it’s all OK. With Melissa, you could voice how you felt, and she could comfort you and validate your feelings and at least make you feel heard compared to the other coaches,” Slusser said.

Kress also blamed the team that forfeited for igniting backlash against his team, as each forfeit brought about more controversy and media attention.

“Sadly, others who for years have played this same team without incident chose not to play us this season. To be clear, we did not celebrate a single win by forfeiture. Instead, we braced for the fallout. Each forfeiture announcement unleashed appalling, hateful messages individuals chose to send directly to our student-athletes, our coaching staff and many associated with our program.”

However, these issues did not stop the players from at least having some fun on what was their final road trip as San Jose State Spartans for most of them.

Slusser previously told Fox News Digital that the team went out to a magic show together when they traveled to Las Vegas for the Mountain West tournament, and even had a team Thanksgiving meal together at the team hotel with takeout from a local diner with many of their families.

However, that was not enough to keep the seven players who have entered the transfer portal attached to the program, as the team will be facing a major roster turnover as it looks to rebound on the court and in its reputation in 2025.

China views the US as weak in outer space — Trump must change that

0

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Back on December 20, 2019 – almost five years to the day – then President Donald J. Trump made history by creating “Space Force.” A stand-alone 6th branch of our military and the first ushered in since 1947.

Said President Trump in part during the signing ceremony at Joint Base Andrews: “There are grave threats to our national security. American superiority in space is absolutely vital. The Space Force will help us deter aggression and control the ultimate high ground.”

Then President Trump could not have been more correct in his assessment.  Unfortunately, we are far from controlling “the ultimate high ground.” As of today, the People’s Republic of China has a firm lock on that critically important arena.

US INVESTIGATING WHETHER CHINESE CITIZEN CHARGED WITH FLYING DRONE OVER BASE COMMITTED ‘MORE SERIOUS OFFENSE’

It is for that reason – and more – that when now President-elect Trump takes office on January 20th, he should build upon his history-making decision to create “Space Force” by establishing an independent “Space Force Academy” along the lines of West Point, the Naval Academy, and the Air Force Academy.  But, with one important distinction: it will be free of the “woke” rot now destroying our service academies from within.

President-elect Donald Trump speaks during a news conference at Mar-a-Lago, on Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, in Palm Beach, Fla.

As a for instance to that point, last year, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point decided to remove the “Duty, Honor, Country” motto from its mission statement.  After it did, Rachel Campos-Duffy, co-host of “Fox & Friends Weekend,” observed: “West Point announcing they’ve gone full globalist.” To be sure, millions of Americans agree with her, including thousands who graduated from there.

Speaking of Rachel Campos-Duffy, back on July 2, 2022, I was with her at West Point to discuss my book “The 56: Liberty Lessons from those who risked all to sign The Declaration of Independence” on “Fox & Friends” weekend. Soon after my segment finished, a senior officer at West Point quietly approached me and asked if he could speak with me in confidence. After we walked off to the side, he outlined in detail how his alma mater was not only “going far left but eliminating or watering down one standard and tradition after the other.” With tears in his eyes, he begged me to get the word out.

Better than me or anyone, President Trump has been getting the word out.

Now, with President-elect Trump about to come back into office, we can only hope and pray that merit, tradition, duty, honor, country, and common sense return to our service academies.  That said, no matter what happens at those academies, we must realize that space may soon become the most critical war-fighting domain.

Some foolishly and irresponsibly believe that once human-kind crosses the barrier of our atmosphere into space that magically our flaws, greed, ill-will and military ambitions are left behind on earth. They are not.  And no nation understands that better than the People’s Republic of China.

China Xi Jinping

China – with its military run and controlled space program –also understands that no nation on earth is more dependent upon its satellites, in near and geosynchronous orbit, for its survival than the United States. As such, for years they have been identifying which of our satellites to target and how best to take them offline, or to outright destroy them. These are issues I worked on for three years at the Pentagon while advising and assisting our ballistic missile defense program and have continued to address since in the private sector.

Not surprising to anyone paying attention, China’s space program already has the capability to take out our satellites if needed.  As outlined in a U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission report to Congress: “China views space as a critical U.S. military and economic vulnerability and has fielded an array of direct-ascent, cyber, electromagnetic, and co-orbital counter-space weapons capable of targeting nearly every class of U.S. space asset. It may be difficult for the United States to deter Beijing from using these weapons due to China’s belief the U.S. has a greater vulnerability in space.”

While the U.S. and other nations on earth tend to strategize in terms of days, weeks, months and years, China strategizes in terms of years, decades and centuries.  As such, they do intend to become the preeminent military power in space.

To achieve that goal, China also has set its sights on establishing military bases on the moon. One of the main reasons being to claim the energy independence-giving helium-3 that litters its surface. The helium-3 isotope could provide a potentially limitless supply of safe, clean, green energy. Some experts estimate the moon’s surface holds upwards of five million metric tons of helium-3, and that just 25 metric tons could fuel the energy needs of the United States for a year.

The military leadership of China’s space program believes helium 3 could prove to be the game-changer that not only reshapes their future but also determines control of the near solar system and…our demise.

Five years ago, President Trump wisely established “Space Force.”  To ensure its success, he must now establish a “Space Force Academy.”

Sadly, but logically, space will soon become the dominant war-fighting arena.  As such, an independent “Space Force” free from the woke doctrine which now infects our military is critical to our national and economic security.

A Trump-Created “Space Force Academy” will launch the next generation of leaders needed to reclaim the “ultimate high ground.”

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in New York arrested a Mexican-born illegal immigrant who sexually abused a child after being removed from the country five times.

According to ICE, the criminal immigrant, 36-year-old Raymond Rojas Basilio, sexually abused an 11-year-old child in the U.S.

Rojas committed this crime after being removed from the country five times and then re-entering once again on an unknown date and at an unknown location, without admission by an immigration official.

The New York Police Department arrested Rojas on Aug. 28, 2023. He was then convicted of forcible touching of the intimate parts of an 11-year-old victim by the Kings County Supreme Court in Brooklyn on Sept. 20, 2024. The court sentenced him to 60 days of incarceration and six years’ probation and required him to register as a sex offender.

New York ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations agents then arrested Rojas outside his residence in Queens on Dec. 17.

U.S. Border Patrol first arrested Rojas, following three separate attempts to unlawfully enter the U.S. near Douglas, Arizona, in May 2002.

Border protection officials then arrested Rojas again on Jan. 6, 2012, at Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry in Nogales, Arizona, when he attempted to enter the country using a fake Arizona Driver’s License and U.S. birth certificate. Just days later, on Jan. 11, border authorities again removed Rojas after he attempted to enter the country using fraudulent documents at another port of entry in Nogales.

New York ICE Field Office Director Kenneth Genalo commented on the arrest, saying: “This criminal has repeatedly shown he has absolutely no regard for our nation’s laws, as evidenced by his repeated attempts to unlawfully or fraudulently enter the United States.”

“As this case illustrates, it only takes one successful unlawful entry to do irreparable harm to a member of our community,” he continued.

He said that local “non-cooperation policies” in place had prevented ICE from taking immediate custody of Rojas following his sentencing by the Brooklyn court.

“However, due to the diligence of our officers, ERO New York City was able to rapidly apprehend this public safety threat before he could harm any other New Yorkers,” said Genalo.

According to the statement, Rojas is currently in ICE custody pending removal to Mexico.

Some Brazilian legislators, along with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) International, are challenging Brazil’s censorship attempts this year before an international governing body, asking them to condemn the censorship and uphold free speech.

ADF International is representing five Brazilian legislators before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights regarding the country’s state-driven censorship crisis and their 39-day ban on X earlier this year.

Senator Eduardo Girao, as well as members of the Chamber of Deputies Marcel Van Hattem, Adriana Ventura, Gilson Marques and Ricardo Salles, are asking the Commission to act swiftly to hold Brazil accountable for its free speech obligations and expose the country’s alleged censorial efforts.

Van Hattem said Brazil has seen an egregious silencing of political voices, citizens, journalists or anyone else who might share different viewpoints from the government in recent years. He said this includes Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes who ordered the “immediate, complete and total suspension of X’s operations” in the country on Aug. 30 after the platform refused to comply with government orders to shut down accounts it has singled out for censorship.

“This is a major violation of all Brazilians’ free speech and expression rights. We can’t afford to lose Brazil to authoritarianism, which is why I am taking my case to the international level with the help of ADF International,” Van Hattem said. “These attempts to silence and censor cannot be allowed to stand.”

The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights has jurisdiction over Brazil as a State Party to the American Convention on Human Rights, which protects freedom of speech, including prohibitions on prior restraint or censoring expression before it has occurred, as well as special protections for political speech.

The legislators are claiming violations of their rights under the Convention, including their freedom of expression and equal protection under the law, as a result of escalating state censorship. They argue censorship has been on the rise in Brazil since 2019 and recently came to a head during X’s ban ahead of elections earlier this year.

The legislators noted that state-sponsored censorship, including the 39-day ban of X, is “disproportionate and of dubious legal basis” and “has affected the conventional rights of the Victims in a direct, particular, and serious way,” according to the legal challenge they filed with the Commission.

The petition goes on to say that the country’s X blockade “violated the rights of more than twenty million people in Brazil who are users of the platform, having prevented them from accessing the dissemination and reception of information during that time.”

Julio Pohl, ADF International’s lead legal counsel on the case, said Brazilian authorities blatantly clamped down on the free speech rights of over 20 million Brazilians by shutting down X ahead of the national elections.

BRAZIL SUPREME COURT JUSTICE ORDER INVESTIGATION OF ELON MUSK OVER ALLEGED FAKE NEWS AND OBSTRUCTION

“While the ban was eventually lifted, the fact remains that millions of Brazilians, including the five legislators now taking their case to the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, were subjected to unlawful censorship during a critical time in their country,” he said. “Censorship has no place in a free society, and it’s time for the Commission to intervene and condemn the vast and ongoing violations of free speech being perpetrated by Brazilian authorities.”

Eduardo Girao, senator for Brazil and party to the petition, echoed a similar sentiment, arguing that despite the ban’s lift, Brazil is still facing a very serious censorship problem.

“While our constitution protects our rights to speak and express ourselves freely as citizens of Brazil, Brazilians throughout the country are afraid to share their beliefs for fear of persecution and punishment,” he said. “We must push back against censorship in our country, and it is my hope that the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights will fulfill its obligation to condemn the human rights violations that are taking place in our country.”

In September, over 100 individuals, including former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss, journalist Michael Shellenberger, five US Attorneys General and Senior UK, US, European and Latin American politicians and professors, signed an open letter to the Brazilian Congress, demanding an end to the “censorship crisis” in which X was banned nationwide in the South American country. Owner Elon Musk previously thanked the Commission and ADF International for intervening in Brazil, following its ban of X.

Mike Benz, a former official with the U.S. Department of State and current Executive Director of the free speech watchdog organization, the Foundation For Freedom Online, appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast earlier this month, where he discussed the so-called “censorship industrial complex.” He said U.S. agencies, including the State Department, have pressured Brazil to adopt censorship laws as part of a broader strategy to counter populist movements globally and “effectively control every election or at least tilt every election around the world.”

“They’ve sprawled this into 140 countries and Trump is going to run into every single regional desk at the State Department, every single equity at the Pentagon, arguing that if you don’t allow us to continue this censorship work, it will undermine national security because it will allow Russian favored narratives to win the day in the Ivory Coast, in Chad, in Niger and Brazil and Venezuela and Central and Eastern Europe,” he said.

“You’re going to have the State Department argue that if we don’t have this counter-misinformation capacity, then extremists will win elections around the world or populists will win the election around the world,” he added. “And that will undermine the power of our democratic institutions, essentially our programming, our assets in the region, and they’ve built this enormous capacity.”

VENEZUELA’S MADURO BANS X FOR 10 DAYS FOLLOWING EXCHANGE WITH ELON MUSK

Benz discussed how U.S. funding of NGOs like the Consortium for Elections and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS) have helped implement censorship frameworks in countries like Brazil.

The five Brazilian lawmakers from left to right : Girao, Marcel, Adriana, Salles and Gilson

The five Brazilian lawmakers from left to right : Eduardo Girao, Marcel Van Hattem, Adriana Ventura, Ricardo Salles and Gilson Marques

“This CEPPS program is basically in large part the reason that the Brazil censorship state was erected,” he said. “This came a little bit later in the game, but it’s a spawn out of this NED [National Endowment for Democracy] censorship network. This [was] explicitly created by the CIA director, self-confessed effectively, CIA cutout.”

“What CEPPS does is they manage an umbrella portfolio of all of the censorship institutions that they’ve capacity built in a region,” he added. “So capacity building is a phrase in statecraft that effectively means building up an asset so that it has the capability to be instrumentalized by the U.S. State Department.”

Tomás Henríquez, director of advocacy for Latin America, told Fox News Digital that the state-sponsored clampdown on free speech is deplorable and must come to a swift end. He called out the “censorship industrial complex,” adding it demands a response from the very institutions mandated to uphold free speech and free expression.

“As governments across the globe are finding ways to sneak censorship into free societies, we are glad to see lawmakers and free speech advocates push back, exposing the web of actors that collude to restrict speech,” he said.

“Mike Benz recently spoke out against the ‘censorship industrial complex’ on the Joe Rogan podcast, exposing the various U.S. actors that have fueled censorship Brazil. Benz is right to call out this egregious act of foreign interference,” he added. “The US should be doing everything in its power to promote free speech, not drive censorship abroad.”

Have you ever wondered how we could make our cars even greener?

Well, meet Omid Sadeghpour, a forward-thinking inventor with a brilliant idea. He’s designed rooftop solar panels specifically for his Tesla Model Y.

His project, DartSolar, harnesses solar energy while the car is parked, potentially adding up to 20 extra miles of driving range each day without ever needing to plug in. As he gets ready to roll out the next iteration, Beta2, let’s explore what makes this innovation so groundbreaking.

The concept behind DartSolar

Electric vehicles (EVs) often spend significant time parked in open spaces, making them ideal candidates for solar energy collection. Sadeghpour’s vision is simple yet effective: why not utilize the sun’s energy to charge EVs while they are stationary? This concept forms the foundation of the DartSolar project.

DartSolar isn’t just about innovation; it’s also about practicality. Imagine a rooftop solar panel that’s aerodynamic, weatherproof, theft-resistant and easy to use. It opens in just 10 seconds with the same effort required to open your car door. These panels are tough, too, built to withstand wind, rain, sand and snow, ensuring reliable performance in all conditions.

YOU WON’T BELIEVE HOW FAR VOLVO’S NEW ELECTRIC SEMI-TRUCK GOES ON A SINGLE CHARGE

The beta 1 prototype

Omid Sadeghpour’s initial prototype, known as Beta 1, was built in collaboration with Jeran Bruce at California’s Forged Makerspace. This prototype is designed with nine flexible solar panels, each rated at 175 watts, which can be deployed when the vehicle is parked. The structure is made from wood and features telescoping carbon-fiber tubes that allow for easy expansion and retraction.

Weighing in at under 165 pounds, Beta 1 remains within the roof weight capacity of the Tesla Model Y and is designed to fit within a standard U.S. parking space when fully expanded.

When fully deployed, Beta 1 can generate approximately 6 kWh of power per day, which translates to about 20 miles of additional driving range. When it’s time to drive again, the system can be collapsed into a compact rooftop box in under a minute.

TESLA SEMI’S IMPRESSIVE PERFORMANCE ON ICE MARKS ANOTHER MAJOR TRIUMPH

Advancements with beta 2

Now, let’s talk about the future. Beta 2, the fifth iteration of DartSolar, takes innovation to the next level. This version swaps the wood structure for carbon fiber, cutting its height in half for better aerodynamics. The wattage capacity has also been boosted to a potential 4,000 watts, providing up to 45 miles of range per day under optimal conditions.

Here’s where things get exciting: Beta 2 introduces dynamic charging capabilities. This means the panels can charge the car while driving or in different configurations, like partially opened for better airflow or fully closed during high-speed travel. With a reduced drag loss of just 1%-2%, it’s as efficient on the road as it is when parked.

Practical applications and future prospects

The DartSolar system has the potential to serve multiple practical applications. First, it provides a viable charging solution for those venturing into remote areas where charging stations are scarce. Additionally, it acts as a backup energy source during power outages, allowing electric vehicles to remain operational even when traditional charging methods are unavailable.

Although the project is currently a DIY initiative and not yet ready for commercial release, Sadeghpour plans to share blueprints and build files on the DartSolar website. This move aims to encourage others to explore similar innovations in solar technology.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is calling attention to something “happening below the surface” in young people following UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson’s murder in the Big Apple earlier this month.

“There’s something that’s happening below the surface with our young people,” Adams told anchor Martha MacCallum during an exclusive interview on “The Story.”

Adams referred specifically to Luigi Mangione, an Ivy League grad student charged with murder in Thompson’s killing, as well as 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow, who killed two and wounded six in a Wisconsin school shooting before she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

UNITEDHEALTHCARE CEO MURDER: IVY LEAGUE GRAD SUSPECT SPAWNS MOVEMENT FUELED BY ANTI=CAPITALIST SENTIMENT

“Not only the assassination… of Brian, but also look what happened on our school grounds. You had a young girl that went in and took the life of innocent people,” Adams said.

“When you look at what’s happening on social media, and that is the real problem, because young people, we’ve always pushed back when we were youthful on government. But with social media and the proliferation of hate, of anger, suicide rates increased – suicidal ideation, the increase in depression.”

Mangione, a private high-school and Ivy League-educated young professional from the Baltimore area, is charged with multiple counts in both Pennsylvania and New York in the fatal ambush shooting of Thompson.

Since his arrest, internet sleuths have been digging through Mangione’s vast and documented social media presence, with many users praising the murder suspect for allegedly killing Thompson, who was a married father of two originally from a small town in Iowa.

MADISON, WISCONSIN, SCHOOL SHOOTING LEAVES 2 DEAD, 6 INJURED; JUVENILE SUSPECT DEAD

Natalie Rupnow, 15, was identified as the shooter who opened fire inside a study hall inside Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin Monday. She killed a teacher and teen student, leaving six others wounded, according to authorities. Responding officers found Rupnow with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. She died on the way to a hospital.

Adams had previously said during a press conference Monday that “our children are being radicalized to hate America, to hate the country that put them where they are.”

The NYC mayor elaborated on the idea with MacCallum, warning “if we don’t take a serious look at it, [what] is lurking in our basements, our bathrooms, in their bedrooms. If we don’t take a look at it and have a real approach to it, we’re going to be in trouble.”

Democrats ‘largely fine’ with Biden’s absence during shutdown talks: ‘Little clamor for him to return’

0

President Biden’s disappearance while negotiations continue over a spending bill to fund the government past Friday is just fine with Democrats, according to a new report.

“Biden has remained conspicuously absent outside a brief statement issued by his press secretary — and for now, Democrats said there was little clamor for him to return,” Politico reported Thursday, one day after Elon Musk and President-elect Donald Trump scuttled the first bipartisan spending bill.

The article said that despite the scramble to avert a government shutdown, “no one seemed to be looking to Biden for answers — and the lame-duck president gave no indication he had any desire to provide them.”

“I haven’t gotten any message from President Biden, or heard of anything that he’s saying,” California Democratic Rep. Mark Takano told Politico, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wouldn’t say he’s been in touch with Biden, only that he’s been in “close contact with the administration.”

As Politico put it, “Democrats appeared largely fine with Biden taking a back seat.”

Even during a caucus meeting among House Democrats, “there’d been no contemplation of Biden’s own views on the stalemate” with members instead “pointedly referring to Musk as ‘President Musk.’”

Biden allies argued the silence was “a strategic decision” to position Trump to “take the blame for any shutdown…damaging him politically even before he takes office.”

Still, Politico reported Democrats have only spoken to White House staffers during this time, with no confirmations of a direct line to the current president.

Biden had spent all Wednesday at his Wilmington, Delaware, home with the White House calling a lid after the bipartisan bill was rejected. He remained there on Thursday and kept silent with nothing on his public schedule.

“[T}he president’s absence underscores a jarring reality that officials in both parties said has become clear since the November election: While Biden technically still runs the country, Trump — and increasingly Musk — are the real captains now,” Politico said.

Democrats hope to pin blame for a potential shutdown on Trump and “President Musk.”

Politico’s report followed a bombshell report from the Wall Street Journal which revealed several members of Biden’s staff noticed his diminishing stamina as far back as 2021 during the first few months of his presidency.
